  • What to bring
    Check the weather and come prepared for the forecast; it's usually pretty accurate Layers to cozy up at night Blankets, sleeping bags, cozy hats and sweaters Bathrobe and towel for the sauna and showers Dishware: You will need to provide your own plates/bowls, cups, and utensils for meals; you may wash these at the dishwash station provided after meals (more info below) Footwear: We will be dancing on hardwood floor, foam floor and the earth itself, so bring footwear that supports your feet and allows ease of movement; socks ok Camping gear and furniture Bring lights and fresh batteries to find your way through the dark at night Water bottle - we will have water available If you plan to buy passes at the door, plan to pay CASH ONLY PLEASE! Wifi is not reliable at the venue If you plan to join Sunday night pizza dinner, CASH ONLY LED Flow Toys
  • Will there be day passes?
    We are reserving our limited capacity spots for weekend pass holders first. Currently, we have a Thursday-only day pass to enable folks to attend social dancing with our headliner DJ Equanimous; all classes and dinner and DJs prior to Equanimous are included as well. Day passes, such as Saturday overnight passes, may be released closer to the event date depending on remaining capacity, since we have a limited number of folks we can accommodate at the venue.
  • Food and meals?
    All included meals will have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options Dishware: You will need to provide your own plates/bowls, cups, and utensils for meals; you may wash these at the dishwash station provided after meals What meals are included by ticket type? 3-day pass holders: Friday dinner, Saturday brunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday brunch are included with your pass 4-day pass holders: Thursday dinner, Friday brunch, Friday dinner, Saturday brunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday brunch are included with your pass Thursday-only pass holders: Friday dinner is included with your pass What about Sunday night dinner? No formal meal service is offered; however, the venue provides a pizza night for which you can pitch in cash to participate Can we cook our own food? You are encouraged to bring snacks and food of your own to supplement meal times according to your appetite and dietary needs. No refrigeration is provided, so please bring coolers and enough ice to last you the weekend. Be FIRE safe! Propane cook stoves ON a table is ok. No cooking on the grass. NO fire pits, no open fire, and PLEASE support the land to request any personal fires be put out if you see one.
  • How does the dishware / wash situation work?
    Bring your own dishes and silverware. There is a shared wash station where you can clean your dishes after each meal. Keep your personal dishes with you and bring them to each meal.
  • Rideshare?
    Check out who you could rideshare with here. Add your name and info, then match up with others in your situation.
  • Arrival Information
    Please respect Heartland’s neighbors as you near the Heartland Property. It is VERY important you SLOW your roll, and follow slow signage. Dust and fast driving really hurts our relationship with the neighbors. Within 3 miles of Heartland, please keep your speed to 10 MPH.
  • Can I bring kids?
    You may bring children ages 0-3 free of charge. You may bring children 14 and up with the purchase of a ticket for each child. All children at the Festival must be attended by a parent or guardian at least 18 years of age at all times. Parents and guardians are expected to keep young children 0-3 from interference with classes, DJs, vendors, and any tech, sound, or lighting equipment. We ask that children ages 4-13 do not attend the festival.
  • How’s the cell service?
    Verizon is GREAT. ATT is so so…and anything else won't really work.
  • Is there WiFi?
    WiFi is not offered to event participants.
  • Will I be able to plug in electronics somewhere?
    There are limited power outlets available with very limited power due to our off-grid situation. Please bring your own charge supply.
  • Trash? Pack it In Pack it Out
    We DO NOT have trash service. Produce LESS trash and bring your own trash bags. Do NOT leave any personal trash for us to care for.
  • Camp sound? Quiet hours?
    Do not bring your own sound systems. Keep camp noise LOW after 11pm. Nature, land neighbors, and your camp neighbors highly request silence at private camps by 1am.
  • Are dogs allowed?
    ALL dogs must be leashed at ALL times. There is also an additional dog agreement that is required to be signed by the Heartland venue. Dog owners are expected to keep dogs from interference with classes, DJs, vendors, and any tech, sound, or lighting equipment. If a dog becomes disruptive, the owner will be asked to take it from the public event spaces and to their private camp.
  • Are there showers?
    Heartland offers hot water showers. Please help conserve hot water by keeping your showers under 5 minutes.
  • Can I bring my hairdryer and curling iron?
    No. Heartland is a solar-powered OFF-GRID retreat. Hairdryers, curling irons, and microwaves are too energy heavy to be able to be plugged in anywhere at Heartland.
  • Is nudity allowed?
    All nipples are equal. Outside of the sauna/shower area, please wear bottoms at all times. All property outside Heartland, i.e. “the lake property,” has a strict NO NUDITY policy. In addition, please keep all sexual activity at private campsites. We are all about exploring juicy connections and sensual expression, and we ask that you take it back to your camp.
  • What’s the drug/alcohol policy?
    Be self-aware. Make choices that keep you safe. Keep all your friends safe. Illegal drug use and underage drinking are illegal and will not be permitted.
  • Can I come and go from the venue?
    Please stay as long as you can. More transformation can happen when you stay in the frequency of the event. Heartland’s neighbors are severely affected by any in & out traffic so we request you DO NOT come and go unless there are emergencies.
  • Wildlife animals/critters/bugs?
    We have raccoons, ants, far-off coyotes, snakes, mosquitoes and fairies. Stay alert and be aware. Don't leave food outside. Avoid walking in tall grass where you can't see the ground.
  • Can we swim in the lake?
    No. The lake is NOT Heartland property. There is no extra lake access, it's required you stay inside Heartland property. Don't cross any fences. Check in with your event facilitator for more details.
  • Are there water features on the property?
    YES! Heartland has a 16’ x 20’ deck that rains as often as you want to feel it. Additionally, there is a 26’ mist dome with 3 different water effects.
  • Do I need to bring a swimsuit?
    Yes, optional. Bottoms are required outside of the sauna/shower area at all times.
